School of Engineering accepts students in TPM program

The Citadel School of Engineering is accepting students in the Technical Project Management (TPM) Graduate Certificate Program. Classes for the two-year program begin Aug. 20. Classes will meet Monday evenings at the Lowcountry Graduate Center, 5300 International Blvd, Building B, in North Charleston, with modern facilities, easy access and free parking.

For both engineers and non-engineers, the TPM program offers a graduate certificate of 12 graduate credit hours. Students take one graduate course each semester for four semesters, developing practical project management skills and abilities. The focus is on preparing students for the next level of their professional careers—managing projects and leading organizations.

"Many of my students take the TPM courses for the graduate certificate, while others take these courses as elective or transfer courses for other graduate programs," said Engineering Professor Keith Plemmons, the program’s instructor. "Adult students bring experience and knowledge into a classroom. And companies in the Lowcountry continue to look for opportunities to develop their star employees. We capitalize on those two facts to provide career and professional education for tomorrow’s business leaders."

More information about the program is available by contacting Plemmons at 843.953.7677 or visiting the website.
