Campus invited to town hall meeting about debate

The Citadel will host a town hall meeting for all interested faculty, staff and students at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 10 in Buyer Auditorium in Mark Clark Hall.

At that time, representatives from The Citadel’s Debate Committee will be on hand to answer any questions or address any issues you may have regarding the July 23 Democratic presidential debate in McAlister Field House. The debate will feature all eight Democratic candidates for president and will air live from 7 to 9 p.m. on CNN.

This is the first of six Democratic presidential debates sanctioned by the Democratic National Committee for the 2008 cycle and the first presidential debate ever held in Charleston and at The Citadel. The debate will be moderated by CNN anchor Anderson Cooper. Questions will come from voters who submit 30-second videos on YouTube.

Information about the debates and its impact on campus will be posted on The Citadel's debate web site, which can be accessed off the home page or at by clicking here.
