Citadel president posts YouTube debate greeting
Citadel President Lt. Gen. John Rosa posted his own video on YouTube this week to talk about the upcoming Democratic Presidential Debate.
The debate will held on July 23 in McAlister Field House. It will be the first-ever voter-generated presidential debate featuring video questions submitted to YouTube and broadcasted during the debate. CNN's Anderson Cooper will moderate the two-hour debate and present the YouTube questions to the candidates. The debate airs live from 7 to 9 p.m. ET on CNN.
Anyone can post a debate question for the eight Democratic presidential candidates at www.youtube.com/debates.
Rosa said technology is changing our daily lives and is likely to change how Americans elect their public officials. The YouTube debates are an example of that.
"This is an exciting time at The Citadel," Rosa said in his YouTube video. "Charleston is an exciting city, an historic city and this campus is an historic setting. And we are making history with this debate."
