Memorial service today for Cadet Payson Dana
A memorial service in honor of Cadet Payson Dana of Charlie Company will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, April 9 in Summerall Chapel.

According to the Florence Morning News, Dana died from injuries that resulted from an accidental fall. He was at his Darlington home on spring break when the accident occured March. 30.
Funeral services for the 22-year-old junior were April 3 in Darlington, his hometown.
Payson was a triplet and the son of Dwight Dana and Paula Fleming Dana of Darlington He is also survivied by his brothers, R. Brenton Dana and J. Radisson Dana, a Delta Company cadet. He is a grandson of the late Oscar and Pennie Mae Fleming and Richard and Madge Dana of Darlington.
Dana and his brothers were the first triplets in the history of the Boy Scouts to receive the Eagle Scout award at the same time.
Dana was business administration with a minor in economics. He planned to attend law school after graduating from The Citadel. Dana was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church.
