Dr. Al S. Lovvorn is an Assistant Professor of Strategic Management. His primary research interests are CEO turnover, international strategic management issues, and organizational theory. He serves as the Academic Advisor for Foxtrot Company (F-Troop). Dr. Lovvorn is a retired U.S. Navy Commander. During his 23 years of active duty, Dr. Lovvorn served as a Surface Warfare Officer in frigates, destroyers, the battleship WISCONSIN, and aircraft carriers. He and his wife lived in Yokosuka, Japan for three years where he served as the Director, Underway Training/Operations Officer for the ships in Japan.
