Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges

The following students were nominated by college department heads and chosen by the Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges selection committee based on :

  • strength of character, academic achievement
  • military achievement and leadership participation
  • leadership and excellence in cadet activities
  • participation and excellence in athletics at the varsity, intramural or club sports level.

Jordan Ashley – served as captain of the Citadel track team and graduates with a degree in health, exercise and sports science and hopes to coach.

Chris Aultman – will be commissioned in the United States Army branched to aviation.

Ryan Ayer – recipient of the Smith Sword, will be commissioned in the United States Marine Corps.

Derek Bernsen – recipient of the Miller Sword, graduates with a degree in computer science cyber security.

Devin Bice – will begin his master's in health, exercise and sport science here at The Citadel in the fall and play his fifth  year with the bulldog football team.

Lance Braye – enters the Medical University of South Carolina and future plans to return to his hometown of Walterboro, S.C., as a physician.

Patrick Buhler – will join ADC Engineering Group after graduating with a degree in civil engineering.

Cody Chick – earned a degree in political science focusing on military relations and military affairs with a minor in Spanish and East Asian affairs and a commission in the United States Army as an infantry officer.

Wei-Ming Chiu – graduates with a degree in civil engineering with a math minor and will be commissioned in the Republic of China Navy in Taiwan.

Terri Craig – earns a degree in political science with Spanish minor and be commissioned in the United States Army as a signal officer.

Mike Czyrnik – completes a degree in criminal justice.

Alexa Dahlstrom – after earning a degree in criminal justice with Spanish minor will join the Charleston police department with future hopes of moving up to federal law enforcement.

Emily Dalton – graduates with a degree in health, exercise and sports science and will enter the Medical University of South Carolina to pursue a masters in occupational therapy.

Martin Duplantier – majoring in biology with business administration minor will enter Louisiana State University of health and sciences school of dentistry in New Orleans.

Carter Elms – graduates with Gold Stars in political science with business administration minor.

Rachael Farrell – after earning a degree in sports management and minor in psychology will work for the Saint Paul Saints baseball team in Minnesota.

Graham Forman –with a degree in business administration, accounting concentration will be commissioned in the United States Army as an infantry officer.

Scott Forrester– will work for Samuel Shapiro & company after completing his degree in business administration and begin graduate school in the fall.

Jonathan Fowlkes – will become a Georgia state trooper after earning a degree in criminal justice.

Richard Gaddy – completed his biology degree and plans to attend medical school.

Matthew Garnier – majoring history with Spanish minor and will commission as an infantry officer in the United States Army with future plans for postgraduate studies in history.

Michael Hagan – graduates with a degree in accounting and Gold Stars.

Benjamin Hall – earned a Gold Stars in applied physics and will be commissioned in the United States Army.

James Hanna – with a degree in sports management and administration will enter graduate school at The Citadel.

Colonel Matthew Holliday – graduates with a degree in political science and Gold Stars.

Leleia Hsia – will be commissioned in the United States Air Force and continue her engineering education in graduate school.

Angel Johnson – will report to good fellow air force base for training as an intelligence officer.

Myers Jordan – graduates with a degree in business administration and Spanish minor and will begin his career as a sales representative for Herald Office Solutions.

Patrick Kolb – earns a degree in business administration and will be commissioned in the United States Marine Corps.

Nicholas Lafevre – will return to his home state of New Jersey to teach high school social studies, coach wrestling and baseball while working towards a masters in athletic administration.

Wei-Fang Liu – graduates with a major in mathematics and Spanish minor and will return to Taiwan as part of the Air Force as a pilot.

Jason Mag – earning a degree in history with Spanish minor will be a terminal operations supervisor for CMC-MRS, a global leader in ocean carrier freight repair.

Chelsea Marsh – after completing her degree in psychology she will enter the Lutheran theological southern seminary to pursue a ministry degree in hopes to become a military chaplain.

Brandon McCladdie – graduates with a degree in sports management and administration with minor in business administration and plans to pursue a masters in business administration at The Citadel.

Benjamin McCoy – earned a degree in business administration and will enter the Air Force.

Julia McCullohs – completes a degree in criminal justice and will be commissioned in the Army as a signal officer with follow-on assignment to Korea.

Franklin McGuire – a member of the class of 2014 majors in English with minors in world history, philosophy and leadership studies – all while earning a 4.0 grade point average and being a part of the regimental pipes. This summer he plans to spend three  months in Africa working on a documentary project and hiking Mount Kilimanjaro for charity.

Robert McRae – earned a degree in business administration and will receive a commission in the United States Marine Corps.

Michael Millsap – will report to Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, after commissioning and graduation working in space and missiles.

Micah Moore – will receive a commission in the United States Marine Corps.

Jason Murphy – graduates a degree in history with Spanish minor and a commission in the United States Marine Corps.

Matthew Myers – a physical education major who will be commissioned in the United States Army branched to field artillery.

Clarese Neill – after earning a degree in mathematics with minor in health sciences will be commissioned in the U.S. Navy and report to the USS Chafee in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

Yban Nieto – will begin his U.S. Army career at Fort Benning, Ga., in the Armorer Officer Basic Course with future plans to work in the FBI or CIA.

Patrick Nugent – will be commissioned in the U.S. Marine Corps with entry training at the basic school in Quantico, Va.

Julie O'Meara – earns a degree in social studies education with a minor in psychology and will be commissioned in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Daniel Pittman – completed a degree in applied physics and will be commissioned in the U.S. Air Force n cyber operations at Kessler Air Force base in Mississippi.

Katherine Player – having earned a degree in English will be commissioned in the United States Army as an intelligence officer assigned to the 25th Airborne Infantry Division.

Djordon-Lee Porter – plans to pursue graduate degrees in the aerospace/aeronautical sciences in the future after his career as an Air Force pilot where he hopes to be competitive for the astronaut corps and sub-orbital space flight

Veteran student Jesse Presson – will continue his work with the Fisher House Foundation, which provides support for veteran families while he teaches world history and law education at Fort Dorchester High School.

John Roberts – will be commissioned in the United States Army after graduating with a degree in psychology with minor in health then will continue his education at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in preparation to become a military chaplain.

Stephen Roos – earns a degree in criminal justice with a Spanish minor and report to pilot training in Pensacola after commissioning in the United States Navy.

Christopher Sakmar – graduates in English and continues his career in the Army.

Christian Scowcroft – after traveling the northern Mediterranean coast this electrical engineering major will pursue a Ph.D. in engineering from the University of South Carolina combined with rotary wing flight school as an officer in the Army National Guard.

Michael Shore – earns a degree in business administration and will be commissioned in the United States Air Force.

Colonel Tyler Smith – with a degree in political science pre-law and legal studies hopes to bring together business professionals, taxpayers, and public officials to better use the community infrastructure to help sustain a viable economy for the future.

Captain Michael Sparks – completes his degree in political science and looks forward to his career in the Marine Corps.

Casey Stabile – after earning a degree in business administration will work as a sales representative for Aeronautical Data Systems.

Officer Candidate Landon Stultz, United States Navy – completes his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering with a 4.0 grade point average and after commissioning will report to the Basic Division Officer Course in San Diego followed by assignment to the USS Chosen at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

Sidney Tew – graduates with a degree in English then reports to the United States Marine Corps officer candidate school.

Justin Tretera – after completing a degree in political science will be commissioned in the United States Army as an infantry officer in the 10th Mountain Division.

Raymond Steele – graduates with a degree in health, exercise, and sport science with plans to attend the Medical University of South Carolina and become an orthopedic surgeon and volunteering his services in South America.

Staff Sgt. John Vroom, United States Marine Corps – recipient of the Dan Malcolm Sword and top graduate in the School of Science and Mathematics will be commissioned in the United States Marine Corps.

Rebecca Walls – graduates with a degree in psychology and will work as an assistant in the Krause Center for Leadership and Ethics with plans to attend graduate school.

Steven Weippert – after completing a degree in psychology with a business administration minor he will be commissioned in the United States Air Force, Force Support, assigned to Randolph Air Force Base, Texas.

Officer Candidate Pierce Weller, United States Navy – will graduate with a degree in psychology with a minor in applied physics and a 4.0 grade point ratio. After commissioning he will attend the Saratoga Fellowship through the John Jay Institute in Philadelphia then on to flight school in Pensacola.

Micah Wessinger – with a degree in business administration with focus in accounting he will be commissioned in the United States Air Force working in logistics.

Thomas Wilkes – will take his degree in health, exercise, and sport science and become a high school football coach and physical education teacher.
