Graduate College Legacy Photo
Alumni parents and graduates will have their photographs taken.
Place: McAlister Field House
Approx. Running Time: 30 minutes
Suggested Dress: Business attire for parents, cap and gown for graduates.
Special Information: Family photos may also be taken at this time as well as the legacy group photo of alumni parents and their graduating sons/daughters.
4 p.m.
Graduate College Commencement Exercises
Place: McAlister Field House
Speaker: South Carolina State Superintendent of Education Mick Zais
Approx. Running Time: 1 ½ hours
Suggested Dress: Business attire for attendees; cap and gown for graduates.
Suggested Arrival: All guests are asked to be seated by 3:45 p.m.
Suggested Parking: Parking is allowed on-campus near McAlister Field House using any space not marked as reserved. There will be sufficient parking on campus for the graduates, families and guests of the graduates. No parking is allowed in Hampton Park.
Graduates and Participants: Graduates will gather in Deas Hall no later than 3 p.m. for robing and lineup.
Special Information: A professional photographer will take photos of each graduate during the diploma presentation. Families are asked not to come forward to take family snapshots or video. Only authorized media photographers are permitted on the field house floor during commencement.
What to Expect: The ceremony will begin promptly at 4 p.m. with the processional of the graduating class, the faculty and the platform party. After the invocation, national anthem and introductions of the special guests, Lt. Gen. Rosa will deliver remarks. Awards will be presented prior to the commencement address. The presentation of candidates and conferring of degrees will precede the actual presentation of diplomas.

Reception for CGC graduates and their guests
Place: Deas Hall
Approx. Running Time: 1 hour
Special Information: CGC graduates and their families are invited to a special reception hosted by Citadel President Lt. Gen. John W. Rosa and his wife, Donna, in Deas Hall, which is located on the north side of McAlister Field House.
