Make arrangements to arrive at least one hour or earlier before the ceremony to help with more efficient selection of parking and seating. General admission tickets are required for the Corps of Cadets commencement and The Citadel Graduate College Commencement. The doors to McAlister Field House will open at 7:30 a.m. Those without tickets may watch a live stream broadcast of the ceremony in Grimsley Hall Auditorium or Grimsley 112.
Parking and Shuttles
Accessible parking is available on campus. Please see the map by clicking here for further information. Drivers may drop off a person with a mobility issue at the Field House and then drive out of campus to park. Golf cart shuttles will be available for the SCCC and CGC graduation ceremonies, and people with mobility issues are given priority to ride the carts at all times. Carts will arrive and depart from the front of the Holliday Alumni Center.
Guests unable to use steps may use the accessible seating behind the graduates. Guests that are able to use steps should use the appropriately marked bleacher seating. One family member may sit with the person or persons needing accessible seating in either location. Accessible seating may not be reserved and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Assistance for the Hearing Impaired
An American Sign Language Interpreter will be available for both ceremonies. Please ask an usher for access to this reserved seating area.
Assistive Listening Devices
A limited number of assistive listening devices will be available for both ceremonies. The assistive listening devices will be available for pickup just inside the main entrance to the Field House before each ceremony. Please plan on leaving a valid photo ID as a deposit. The assistive listening devices must be returned to the table at the end of the ceremony.
