Students interested in pursuing careers in the U.S. Coast Guard after graduation can learn more at Coast Guard Assets Day at The Citadel on Tuesday, March 13, 2012.
Sponsored by the Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 12-8A at The Citadel, Assets Day will feature several static displays of Coast Guard vehicles, including a H-H 65 Dolphin helicopter, the Coast Guard Cutter Dallas tactical boat and a marine environmental recovery boat.
Information also will be available about the Coast Guard Auxiliary’s campus involvement and a recruiter will be on hand to answer questions about Coast Guard careers.
Coast Guard Assets Day runs from 4 to 6 p.m. on Summerall Field.
The Citadel’s U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary was created in 2007 to provide information and training to cadets interested in Coast Guard careers. Training includes courses on team coordination, risk assessment, basic boating and nautical terms.
