Dr. Lisa Zuraw

Dr. Zuraw earned her Ph.D. in Biophysical Chemistry at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Her doctoral research at Duke and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences investigated cytosine deamination mutagenesis in DNA. Additionally, she completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Department of Biochemistry at the Medical University of South Carolina working on folate metabolism and DNA mutagenesis. Dr. Zuraw research continues to explore protein-nucleic acid interactions in mutagenesis and carcinogenesis as well as chemical education and assessment. She is a consultant for College Board and Educational Testing Services on the Advanced Placement Chemistry Examination and the College Level Examination Program (CLEP). Dr. Zuraw teaches Biochemistry, Forensic Chemistry and General Chemistry.
