Finalists for dean of The Citadel Graduate College selected
Three finalists have been named for associate provost and dean of The Citadel Graduate College.
The finalists will be on campus in September for interviews. The new dean will replace Steve Nida, who this fall returned to teaching in the college's psychology department.
The finalists are:
- Marcus S. Cox, associate dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and founding director of the African American Studies Program, The Citadel.
- Robert H. McNamara, associate dean of Evening Undergraduate Studies at The Citadel.
- Janet Z. Temple, president of Temple and Associates consulting firm on James Island.
The associate provost/dean will manage The Citadel Graduate College, Evening Undergraduate Studies, Office of Research and continuing professional education. The Citadel Graduate College offers 27 graduate degree programs, nine graduate certificate programs and four evening undergraduate programs. Classes are offered in the evenings in a civilian atmosphere.
