THURSDAY, MAY 3

5:30 p.m. CGC AWARDS CEREMONY

Award recipients will have their photographs taken with Lt. Gen. Rosa

Place: Club Level, Johnson Hagood Stadium

Inclement Weather: As scheduled

Approx. Running Time: 1 ½ hours

Suggested Dress: Casual

Suggested Arrival: All guests are asked to be seated 15 minutes prior to the ceremony.

Suggested Parking: Johnson Hagood Stadium

Special Information: Light appetizers will be served beforehand.

SATURDAY, MAY 5

2:00 p.m. GRADUATE COLLEGE LEGACY PHOTOS (Select group only)

Alumni parents and graduates will have their photographs taken.

Place: McAlister Field House

Approx. Running Time: 30 minutes

Suggested Dress: Coat and tie for gentlemen; dress or business suit for women; cap and gown for graduates.

Special Information: Family photos may also be taken at this time.

3:30 p.m. CITADEL GRADUATE COLLEGE COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES

Place: McAlister Field House

Speaker: TBD

Approx. Running Time: 1 1/2 hours

Suggested Dress: Coat and tie for gentlemen; dress or business suit for women; cap and gown for graduates.

Suggested Arrival: All guests are asked to be seated by 3:15 p.m.

Photographs: A professional photographer will take photos of each graduate during the diploma presentation. Families are asked not to come forward to take family snapshots or video. Only authorized media photographers are permitted on the field house floor during commencement. Following commencement you may order online at www.gradimages.com or by calling 1-800-261-2576. What to Expect: The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 p.m. with the processional of the graduating class, the faculty and the platform party. After the invocation, national anthem and introductions of the special guests, Lt. Gen. Rosa will deliver remarks. The presentation of candidates and conferring of degrees will precede the actual presentation of diplomas.

5:00 p.m. RECEPTION FOR CITADEL GRADUATE COLLEGE GRADUATES AND THEIR GUESTS, HOSTED BY LT. GEN. AND MRS. JOHN ROSA

Place: Deas Hall

Approx. Running Time: 1 hour

Special Information: CGC graduates and their families are invited to a special reception hosted by the President and First Lady in Deas Hall, which is located on the north side of McAlister Field House.

ACCESSIBLE SEATING

Guests unable to use steps may use the accessible seating behind the graduates. Guests that are able to use steps should use the appropriately marked bleacher seating. One family member may sit with the person or persons needing accessible seating in either location. Accessible seating may not be reserved and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY SECURITY RESTRICTIONS

No boxes, alcohol, weapons, firecrackers, noise makers, umbrellas, beverage containers of any sort, backpacks, large handbags, coolers, thermoses or similar items will be allowed in the field house. Food and drink are prohibited. Cameras and video cameras are permitted; however, guests will not be permitted on the floor of the field house during commencement exercises.

*NEW* Leaving McAlister Field House during the ceremony is highly discouraged. Those who must leave will be given a wrist band and will be required to go back through security screening prior to re-entry.

ORDERING ANNOUNCEMENTS AND INVITATIONS

Invitations should be ordered directly through Balfour Graduation Announcements online. Please note that an announcement or invitation cannot be used for admission into the SCCC ceremony. No tickets are needed for The Citadel Graduate College's ceremony.
