Legacies in The Citadel Graduate College Class of 2010
Commencement exercises for The Citadel Graduate College will take place at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 9, 2010, in McAlister Field House. Among the 314 students graduating are six legacies—students who have a familial tie to Citadel alumni.
This year’s CGC legacies are:
• Lisa Altine: diploma presented by The Citadel’s past president, Lt. Gen. Claudius E. Watts, South Carolina Corps of Cadets class of 1958. (Watts is a classmate of Altine’s father, Brig. Gen. Ronald W. Zeltman, who passed away.)
• Christina Alvanos: diploma presented by her mother, Brenda K. Alvanos, The Citadel Graduate College class of 1992.
• Cydney Carson: diploma presented by her father, Robert Carson, South Carolina Corps of Cadets class of 1973.
• James Falkenbury: diploma presented by his father, John William Falkenbury, South Carolina Corps of Cadets class of 1978.
• Nancy Haynsworth: diploma presented by her husband, Richard Haynsworth, South Carolina Corps of Cadets class of 1976 and by her father-in-law, George Edward Haynsworth, South Carolina Corps of Cadets class of 1946.
• Kathryn Kastner: diploma presented by her father, William Kastner, South Carolina Corps of Cadets class of 1974 and a member of The Citadel’s Board of Visitors.
