Catholic Bible Study

According to the Catholic document Dei Verbum, Sacred Scripture "is the speech of God as it is put down in writing under the breath of the Holy Spirit."(9) When interpreted according to Sacred Tradition, it serves as a priceless gift of divine revelation that breathes life into the soul and hope into our hearts.

In recognizing its importance, the Department of Catholic Campus Ministry provides a weekly opportunity for the cadets of the Citadel to explore the Bible through a series of written and visual aids. Beginning with Genesis and ending with Revelations, those who attend can witness the pivotal, yet seemingly overlooked role that Sacred Scripture plays in the Catholic Church.

"Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ." – St. Jerome
