The first book signing is one hour prior to the weekly military dress parade from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7 at The Citadel Bookstore in Mark Clark Hall. The second is an hour before the football kickoff against Wofford College from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 8 at the Holliday Alumni Center, across from Johnson Hagood Stadium.

McIntyre, Class of 1965, is a nationally acclaimed financial advisor with more than 40 years of experience. In addition to managing wealth for ultra-high net worth families and advising corporate clients on a broad spectrum of financial issues, McIntyre has been a featured speaker on radio and television covering investments and the markets. His financial acumen has earned him the nickname “financial wizard” because of his candor, his insights and his humor.

“Insiders,” which was published in June by iUniverse.com, is McIntyre’s first novel. The book was inspired by the events that rocked the world financial markets in 2008 and 2009. McIntyre is a native of Washington D.C., and a Vietnam War veteran. As a cadet, he was a member of Echo Company. He graduated with a BS in business administration.

McIntyre plans to donate all proceeds from the on-campus book signing to The Citadel Foundation, a 501(c)3 charitable organization, was established with the primary purpose of providing financial assistance and support exclusively for The Citadel.
