BOV announces 2006-2007 meeting schedule

The Citadel Board of Visitors has set its meeting schedule for the 2006-2007 academic year.

Regular meetings of the board are held four times a year on The Citadel campus. Additional meetings are scheduled as needed.

The Board of Visitors is composed of 11 graduates of the college: seven elected by joint vote of the South Carolina General Assembly, three elected by Citadel Alumni Association members and one appointed by the governor. All members serve six-year terms, with the governor's appointee term coinciding with the governor's term.

The time and location of each meeting is announced in accordance with the South Carolina Freedom of Information Act. Meeting dates are:

29-30 September 2006
2-3 February 2007
20-21 April 2007
8-9 June 2007

Committee meetings will be held throughout the year as required, particularly during Corps Day Weekend in March and Commencement Week in May.
