Dr. John E. Weinstein

Dr. John Weinstein is a Professor of Physiology and Head of the Department of Biology. His current research interests are in the area of aquatic toxicology. Dr. Weinstein has expertise in natural and anthropogenic stressor interactions, toxicokinetics, environmental chemistry, trophic transfer of contaminants, biomarkers, and risk assessment. Recent projects have included UV-enhanced toxicity of aromatic hydrocarbons on a variety of salt marsh biota, non-target pesticide effects on shrimp and clams, and chemical contamination of coastal storm water detention ponds and suburban tidal creek systems. |
