Real Money Portfolio
The Citadel FMA has its own real-money portfolio!
The Fund contributes to the School of Business Administration's curriculum by providing a real-life learning exprerience to students interested in finance and investments. Students actively research and manage the funds investments which consist of U.S. stocks.
Fund's Objective: Long-term Capital Appreciation
Benchmark: S&P 500
Club members meet weekly to talk about current market developments, analyse current and potential future holdings and discuss new trades. Voting members vote on trades which are then submitted for execution to the club's broker. Any club member can participate in the discussions and recommend new research ideas and directions. However, only paying members have voting rights. A core team of students is responsible to follow development in various sectors\industries and update all club members at the weekly meetings. The current value of the portfolio (as of 9/7/2012) is $8,098.94 and is up 18.72% since inception and has outperformed the S&P 500 for the past 5 years.
