Baldwin is a criminal justice major from St. Peters, Mo. He will be commissioned in the U.S. Marine Corps during his May 8, 2010 commencement.
The Case Hartmann Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping families and children. Created in 2006, the leadership award recognizes outstanding leadership abilities and a commitment to helping others in a senior participating in the Naval ROTC program.
“The award is voted on by his peers to honor the individual they think most influenced them in a positive way,” said Bob McNamara, executive director of the foundation and a professor in the Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice.
The Case Hartmann Foundation was created in 2002 to celebrate the McNamara family commitment to public service. Its mission is to create opportunities to empower children and families that face adversity. The primary focus is on building and enhancing educational achievement through scholarships, awards, writing workshops, research projects, and other programs.
