FERPA

At the Academic Support Center, faculty and parents often make inquiries about the wellbeing and academic progress about their students and children respectively. Much of this information, however, is protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Therefore, before discussing a student with parents or faculty/staff members, we must have a signed release form from the student.
