Air Force Officer Qualification Test
All cadets on scholarship or pursuing a commission in the United States Air Force must take the Air Force Officer Qualification Test (AFOQT). The test is offered by the detachment several times during each semester. If you need to take the test, talk to your AFROTC instructor or the detachment Education Officer for additional information.
The AFOQT measures the cadet's aptitude in five different areas: pilot, navigator, academic aptitude, verbal, and quantative. All cadets must score a minimum of 15 on the verbal section and 10 on the quantative. In addition, those cadets who are pursuing catagorization as a pilot or navigator must score a minumum of 25 on the respective section of the test and must have a combined score of 50 on the pilot and navigator sections. The chart below may clarify this somewhat.
