Class of 2013 profile
The Class of 2013 matriculated on Saturday, Aug. 15 as the largest class in 34 years with 721 freshmen and a record breaking 2,363 applications.
“As all institutions face new and challenging forces in higher education, we are encouraged to see the largest applicant pool ever and one of the largest freshman classes in our history,” said retired Marine Lt. Col. John W. Powell, Jr. '77, director of admissions. “The high turnout for the class of 2013 tells us there is strong demand for the unique educational experience at The Citadel, which is distinguished by our proven leadership development model.”
