DESCRIPTION OF AGENCY:
Family Services is a private, non-profit agency, which has been serving the Trident Area since 1888.  Originally Family Services was organized to assist families who were in transition, often jobless and homeless.  Today we have a staff of highly trained and skilled social workers, marriage and family therapists, educational specialists and budget and debt management counselors providing a wide range of services to meet the total needs of families and individuals in the home, the community, and the workplace.  Family Services also provides extensive group experiences in our Family Violence Program, Victims Support Group, Women's Issues Group and anger management.

STRENGTHS OF AGENCY:
This agency focuses on the link between the court system and psychology. Interns will deal with domestic violence, drug court, family/maggiage issues, anger management, etc. This organization looks at the business side of counseling, considering case management and learning the underlying process associated with the counseling field.

• They provide open-ended groups and close-ended groups. Adolescents and adults groups focus on such issues as violence, co-dependencey, etc.
