DESCRIPTION OF AGENCY:
The mission of Charleston Center is to help the redsidents of Charleston County
live productive lives, free from the impact of alcohol, other drugs and addictive
behaviors. We promote active recovery for persons whose lives are affected by
addiction.
Comprehensive and innovative treatment and intervention services are provided
by a qualified and credentialed staff of health care professionals. Prior to
entry into services, clients receive a complete assessment to determine appropriate
level of care. Placement is based on criteria developed by the American Society
of Addiction Medicine. Because we provide multilevel health care services, clients
are able to transition smoothly from one level of care to the next as they progress
through their individual treatment plans.
Charleston Center uses a holistic approach that works toward maximizing the
client's physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being while involving
the client's family in the healing process. To help clients maintain recovery,
Charleston Center incorporates the 12-step self-help treatment approach.
