Campus is busy with several projects this summer
The face of the campus is changing this summer as construction crews rebuild two landmarks and move toward completion of a third.
The Citadel Marksmanship Center, a $3 million facility that was started last December, has taken shape on WLI Field overlooking the soccer field and the marsh. It should be ready for training and practice by January 2006.
Work is proceeding at Johnson Hagood Stadium in anticipation of a new west side and hi tech scoreboard in 2006 football season and a completely new stadium in the coming years.
Law barracks, an $18 million project, is scheduled for completion in January 2007. The 66-year-old barracks was demolished and the ground cleared in time for graduation. Now the steel backbone and forms are beginning to outline the shape of a new Law Barracks.
