NAVL 101 Introduction to Naval Science
 
Course Description
 
This course provides the student with the basic understanding of the mission, organization, regulations, and broad warfare components of both the Navy and Marine Corps.  Included is an overview of officer and enlisted rank and rating structures, training and education, promotion and advancement, courtesy and customs, discipline, leadership, ships nomenclature, career opportunities in various warfare communities, and the challenges facing today's Navy and Marine Corps officers.
