Mark Clark Hall Auditorium, 10:00am - 4:00pm
The Citadel's African American Society Bazaar hosts the intercollegiate Black History Quiz Bowl, and the SANKOFA African American Museum on wheels; the Bazaar will also have food, music, and vendors.

Keynote Address
Mark Clark Hall Auditorium, 6:30pm
Dr. Maria Goodloe, Charleston County Schools Superintendent, will share her views on the past, present, and future of educating the African American Community.

Gospel Concert
Summerall Chapel, 6:30pm
A performance sponsored by the friends of Daniel Library, Righteous Blends and The Citadel Gospel Choir will perform.

Black History & Gullah Tour
Mark Clark Hall, 3:00pm
Citadel cadets, CGPS students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend. The tour will leave from Mark Clark Hall.

Symposium
Holliday Alumni Center, 6:30pm
The community is invited to discuss: African American Education in South Carolina: The Past, Present, and Future. Invited guests include Mr. Joseph DeLaine Jr. and Ms. Beatrice Rivers, original plaintiffs in Briggs vs. Elliott (1954), Dr. Lorin Anderson, expert witness in Abbeville County School District vs. State of South Carolina (1996), The Honorable Matthew J. Perry Jr., lead attorney in Briggs v. Elliot, and Dr. Richard W. Riley, former governor of South Carolina and former U.S. Secretary of Education (1993-2001).
