Study Abroad at The Citadel

Summer :

The Citadel presently sponsors programs for French and Spanish in countries where the respective language is spoken. Credit may be obained for courses taken abroad during the summer or the regular school year. Such work must have the prior approval of the corresponding Section Chief or the Head of the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures & Cultures, from whom details of this option are available.

Semester:

Students must complete 202 in French, German or Spanish before studying abroad; it is also highly advisable that students complete a respective language course either in the fall or spring of the current academic year prior to studying abroad. The Department of Modern Languages, Literatures & Cultures recommends the following programs*

* Students wishing to study abroad in a different program must submit ample supporting materials to the respective Section Chief or Department Head. Such materials should include a detailed and comprehensive description of all aspects of the proposed program (sponsoring institution, course descriptions, accommodations, dates, etc.).
