The Tommy B. Hunter Cadet Store is located on the Ashley River side of campus behind the barracks on the corner of Hammond Avenue and Courvoisie Avenue. The Cadet Store sells books, clothing, and other items. The Cadet Store was renamed in April of 2003.

Although the Cadet Store does not offer an online catalog, The Citadel's Gift Shop offers online purchasing of Citadel merchandise.

Hours of Operation

Normal Hours

The Cadet Store is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM during normal operation. In addition, there are extended hours at the beginning of each semester:

Fall and Spring Extended Hours
During the first week of classes each semester, the bookstore will remain open until 6 pm, Monday-Thursday.

Return Policy

Fall and Spring Semesters

Books may be returned for credit by the Add-Drop date for each semester in which they were purchased if the student is dropping the class or the class is cancelled. An Add-Drop slip will be required for credit.

Books must be in saleable condition, new books must be completely unmarked, and cash register receipt or copy of charge slip must be presented. Software sets with diskettes are not returnable for any reason if the shrink-wrap packaging is broken.

Maymester and Summer School

Books may be returned for credit within three days after the beginning of the session in which they were purchased if the student is dropping the class or the class is cancelled. An Add-Drop slip will be required for credit.

An electronic copy of the Add-Drop slip may be obtained on the CGC forms web page. Paper copies of the Add-Drop slip may be obtained at the Registrar's Office or the CGC Office.
