Wireless: Configuring SSL

Mozilla Firefox 2.0 and above

1) In the navigation box (where you type your web addresses), type about:config.


2) You should see a window similar to the one in the figure below. In the Filter box, type ssl.

3) In the list of results, double-click security.enable_ssl2 to change its value to true..

4) In the list of results, double-click security.ssl2.rc4_128 to change its value to true.

5) Click the browser's Home button.

6) You should be prompted to accept a certificate:

6) You can Accept the certificate permanently or Accept this certificate temporarily for this session. Accepting the certificate temporarily means you will be prompted to accept this certificate each time you log onto the wireless network.

7) You should now see the Citadel Wireless Logon Screen. Check the library's wireless information page if you need instructions for logging onto the wireless.
