Description:

The Middle English Dictionary (MED) is a collection of 15,000 entries that provide "comprehensive analysis of lexicon and usage for the period 1100-1500, based on the analysis of a collection of over three million citation slips". The MED is part of a collection called the Middle English Compendium which is comprised of the Middle English Dictionary, a HyperBibliography which includes all the materials which are cited in the Middle English Dictionary; and the Corpus of Middle English Prose and Verse, a searchable corpus of almost 300 Middle English texts. |
