Digital Information for South Carolina USers

DISCUS - South Carolina's Virtual Library provides all South Carolinians with equitable access to an electronic library of essential information sources. DISCUS is administered by the South Carolina State Library in cooperation with school, college and public libraries. DISCUS is funded by the South Carolina General Assembly with supplemental funding by the federal Library Services and Technology Act.

Custom Newspapers
"A 'custom' database that provides access to full-text of:
  • Charleston Post & Courier, selected full-text starting 1/2001
  • Greenville News (SC) full-text beginning 1/2002
  • New York Times, last 365 days
Updated daily, the papers can be searched by title, headline, text words, date, author, section, and other access points. Results are displayed by newspaper section to provide context for the search results."
