TUCKER, REUBEN

Major General Reuben H. Tucker, III, was the only Citadel Commandant who served twice. From 1955-56, Tucker was Commandant when that position was held by the head of the Army R.O.T.C. unit. In 1963, after he retired from the army, he was appointed the Commandant by General Clark. He held that position until his death in 1968. (Source: Dennis D.
