The studio easel in Daniel Library originally belonged to the American artist James Abbott McNeill Whistler (1834-1903). The easel was used by Professor M. John Lenhardt, artist and art history professor at The Citadel. It was made in England around 1868, weighs more than 200 pounds and can be extended to a height of 16 feet.
