General Information HOURS (Regular Academic Year): Sick Call: Monday - Friday: 06:45 - 11:00 and 12:30 - 14:00 Sports Medicine Clinic: Monday - Friday: 07:00 and 13:00 Orthopedic Doctor's Clinic: Monday and Friday (only): 07:00 PHONE NUMBER      Infirmary: 843-953-6847      Fax: 843-953-5283 APPOINTMENTS Cadets do not have to make an appointment. Walk- in services are avaliable 24 hours, seven days a week during the school year. Sick Call is held Monday through Friday, 06:45 - 11:00 and 12:30 - 14:00. Maymester and Summer School hours are more limited (hours are posted at the Infirmary entrance). Scheduled appointments are also available with the college physician and nurse practitioner during the week. The Citadel's orthopedic surgeon (team physician) provides free consultation for all cadets at the Infirmary on Monday and Friday mornings. HEALTH FEE & INSURANCE All cadets pay a mandatory health fee, which covers professional medical services at the Citadel Infirmary. Additional fees are assessed for medications, immunizations, lab tests, EKG's, X-Rays,orthopedic equipment & supplies. Medications are provided at, or near cost, using generic drugs purchased under state contract. X-Rays and EKG's are provided at substantially lower cost than in the local community. Cadets are required to carry supplemental personal or family medical insurance to cover potential costs of ambulance service, emergency department visits, admission to hospitals/medical centers, dental care and specialty medical or surgical care not available at the Infirmary. CONFIDENTIALITY All visits to the Infirmary are kept strictly confidential. Written permission from the cadet is required to share information with anyone, including family members. Exceptions are made only in cases deemed to be life-threatening or those required by law.
