Recently the college sent a team of cadets to the University of South Carolina to participate in the Palmetto Cup, a SCIRSA-sponsored extramural Flag Football Tournament. It was a great experience. Coach Kyle Kovach and cadets enjoyed every aspect of the weekend, and while the Dawgs were defeated by Coastal Carolina in a semi-final match, cadets could only speak of the fun they had.
I am truly appreciative of efforts of the University of South Carolina, and especially those of Ms Lauren Martini. Everything about the tournament, from the captains meetings to the officiating and stat keeping, was professional.
Congratulations to all involved in such a successful event; we look forward to participating again.
