Deas Hall is the heart of physical activity on campus, and on any given day cadets are involved in many activities. Early in the morning you may find ROTC units in the pool or gym. Throughout the day cadets stop by to play a game of pool or table tennis. In the afternoon the building is alive with cadets participating in intramurals, playing racquetball, lifting weights, and using a variety of cardio machines. For every cadet in the corps, the best place to get away from the rigors of the day is Deas Hall. It does not matter if you are a senior officer or a knob, you can always find something to do here.
But Deas Hall is not just for the Corps of Cadets. It is not unusual to find Coach Higgins in the Nautilus area, Java City's Miss Jackie on a cross trainer, LTC Fuller playing handball, the noon jogging group changing to head out to Hampton Park, or LTC Woolsey finishing his day on a stair climber. So if Deas Hall is not a part of your daily routine, then you may want to ask yourself why. The Deas Hall staff hope to see you soon, and on a regular basis.
Yours in fitness,
Henry Bouton
Deas Hall Manager
