Alan is a senior partner in the Acme law firm and is in charge of hiring and firing the firm's attorneys. He has taken a special interest in Barbara, a new associate Alan hired fresh out of law school. After Barbara has worked in the firm for a few months, Alan asks Barbara into his office for a private meeting. Shortly after the meeting commences, Alan tells Barbara that the only way she can hope to remain employed at Acme is by having sex with him. Barbara refuses; three months later, without giving any reason, Alan fires Barbara.
