College Park was leased from the City of Charleston in 1966 and served as home to The Citadel baseball team for over a quarter century, until the opening of Riley Park in 1997. College Park now serves The Citadel as a multi-purpose athletic facility. It is located a few blocks away on Rutledge Avenue at the entrance to Hampton Park.
