The Art of Perception: Rethinking How We See

Featured in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and CBS News, Amy Herman (JD, MA) uses artwork to hone the perception  skills of high-level law enforcement officers in a strategic way directly applicable to the needs of the field. Knowledge of art is not required.

- SHARPEN your powers of observation and communication skills in scenarios such as crime scene analysis, intelligence gathering, witness questioning, hostage negotiation, and domestic violence situations

- PARTICIPATE in the same training received by the FBI, Secret Service, Department of Homeland Security, NYPD, Scotland Yard, Department of the Army, and the Department of the Navy

- COLLABORATE in guided strategic problem-solving exercises to rethink perception skills pertaining to the criminal justice field

Presented by the Fine Arts and Criminal Justice Departments at The Citadel with support from the Fine Arts Program Fund and the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
