1.         COURSE DESCRIPTION:  The student examines the application of statistical analysis to business situations.  Descriptive and inferential statistics, probability and random variables, and sampling and statistical forecasting are included.

 

2.         INCOMING COMPETENCY OF STUDENT EXPECTED BY INSTRUCTOR:

            Ability to work with simple algebraic formulas and concepts.

 

3.         COURSE STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES:

 

            a.         Demonstrate the application of statistical theory to practical business situations and data.

 

            b.         Develop skills in statistical analysis and interpretation of business data.

 

            c.         Develop insight into the selection and application of statistical tests and methods appropriate to a broad scope of business issues.

 

            d.         Integrate personal computers and statistical programs into the solution of problems and statistical tests.
