What is the CSI program?
CSI is a 4-week summer residential transition program for incoming Citadel freshmen that helps students to prepare for the rigors of knob year in a supportive environment. It addresses the academic, cadet life, physical fitness, and social challenges that Citadel students face in their first year on campus.

Two sessions of CSI are offered each summer to accommodate the varied schedules of incoming students and their families. The content of these sessions is the same, with the exception of the core courses that are offered, which may vary slightly between sessions.
Session I: June 1 - June 27, 2008
Session II: July 6 - August 1, 2008
*Please note that if you are an athlete who will participate in Athletic Cadre in August, you cannot attend Session II because Session II overlaps with Athletic Cadre. All other students may attend either session.

How do I apply for CSI?
All academically accepted Citadel students will receive application materials in the mail. You can also contact the CSI Coordinator for application materials. First, you will need to send in the application form with a $100 application fee and the required essay to reserve a space in the 2008 program. After we receive your application, we will mail you the registration materials to complete. This paperwork, along with payment in full, must be received by May 23, 2008 (Session I) or June 20, 2008 (Session II) in order to register for CSI. Once this paperwork is processed, you will receive your summer schedule and full details about the 2008 CSI program in the mail.
