* Locate Microsoft Office 2003 commands in 2007

Microsoft has created excellent resources to help Microsoft Office users transition to MS Office 2007.

Click the link below to navigate to Microsoft's site where you'll find various guides to help you locate commands in the new Office 2007 user interface.

Interactive Guides - these guides provide a visual of the Office 2003 interface you can download or run from your Web browser. When you hover over the command you need, instructions appear directing you to the appropriate equivalent command in the Office 2007 interface.

Mapping Workbooks - (You must have a version of Excel installed to view these files.) Download an Excel spreadsheet that lists the MS Office 2003 command and its equivalent MS Office 2007 command in searchable, column format.

Review a roadmap/guide to free training resources for Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007 you can access on-line. WebCT and Blackboard

The college has begun a transition from WebCT to Blackboard Learning Systems, a new and robust course management system. This move will enhance the online learning experience by offering new tools and functionality for conventional, blended and online courses.


As always, ITS will provide support and workshops that will help users transition from WebCT to Blackboard. It is extremely important that current WebCT and Blackboard users receive training on the Blackboard Learning System prior to receiving Blackboard course shells. The transition timeline is provided below.

Summer 2008
  • No new WebCT courses created.
  • Faculty begins transition to Blackboard.
  • Students access WebCT for courses.
  • Blackboard workshops begin
  • Only Summer Pilot program uses Blackboard
Fall 2008
  • Faculty transition to Blackboard
  • Majority of “live” classes taught on WebCT.
  • Some students will be accessing both WebCT and Blackboard.
  • Blackboard workshops continue.
  • All new courses created in Blackboard
  • Faculty transition from WebCT to Blackboard.
January 2009
  • No courses on WebCT.
  • All courses created and developed in Blackboard.
  • Students accessing courses only on Blackboard.
