The General
Biology laboratory is intended to compliment the lecture by having students
participate in various activities that reinforce ideas and concepts presented
in lecture.
- The
laboratory manual is available and will be brought to each laboratory
session. The laboratory section covering each session will be read prior
to coming to class so that all the material can be completed during the
allotted time. Laboratory assignments / entries from the previous
laboratory period will be due at the beginning of the session.
- Attendance
in laboratory is mandatory and only excused absence sessions can be made
up in other laboratory sections during that week, only with apriori
permission.
- There
will be a quiz at the beginning of each laboratory session covering the
previous week’s material and information presented in the manual for the
current exercise. Any missed quizzes will not be made up unless authorized
by Instructor / Professor.
- No
food, drink, or tobacco products are allowed in the laboratory setting.
- You
will leave the laboratory work area neat and clean at the end of each
session. Chairs will be pushed under the tables, all trash will be
disposed of properly, and laboratory materials will be returned to the
designated locations. Failure to be considerate of your fellow Cadets that
are in the next laboratory section, by leaving your work station in
disarray, will result in 10 point reduction to your class participation
score.
- If you have any questions, please contact Dr.
Gustafson.
- Any violation of the Honor Code of the College will
be reported.
