Formal
Interviewing |

Do
not wait until the day before or day of an interview to prepare. Interview
preparation includes thorough research on the organization, as well
as a vast understanding of who you are and what you have to offer
an employer.
When applying
for an internship, you will likely be interviewed by several individuals
within a company for the position. They are not only looking for someone
who can perform the tasks of the internship, but often times they
are looking for someone, who after completing one or two internships,
as well as completing their senior year, will be ready for full-time
employment with the company. Prepare for the interview to make a positive
lasting impression. If
you are searching for a summer job, you may still need to participate
in a formal interview process.
Refer to the Interview Preparation & Tips to best sell
yourself to a potential employer, the Interview Follow-Up for
appropriate steps, and Evaluating an Offer to assist in your
decision-making (at right). |
